UNITED FIRE FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR POSTER CHALLENGE |

HERE ARE THE RULES: ¨ WHAT: Artwork entries must be original work
done by hand, computer graphics, and/ or a camera.
Theme idea entries must be original ideas. ¨ HOW: Original artwork preferred formatting is
18” x 24” min/18” x 28” max, landscape or portrait. All
electronic and scanned submissions must be high resolution (300 dpi
min). Theme ideas may be submitted via email or regular mail,
typed or handwritten. ¨ Submit as many entries as you wish! ¨ Each entry must be accompanied by a completed CHALLENGE RELEASE FORM signed by all contributors for that entry. ¨ WHERE: Entries may be sent via email, regular
mail, special delivery, or personal delivery. United Fire
Equipment Co. Email: alicea@ufec.com ¨ United Fire is not responsible for lost or damaged entries or for late
entries (if you’re submitting for the 2009 poster deadline). ¨ All entries become the sole property of United Fire.
¨ WHEN: To be considered for the 2009 Firefighter
of the Year poster, entries must be received by 4:00 pm, Friday, April 17, 2009 in the proper format as noted above. NO EXCEPTIONS. ¨ Entries received after the 2009 deadline will be considered for future years. ¨ Selections will be made by a committee of United Fire employees. More than
one submission may be selected and will be used for posters in the
future! ¨ NOTIFICATION: You will be contacted
via email by April 30th and advised whether or not your entry was
selected to represent our Firefighter of the Year awards for 2009 or a
future year. If you do not have an email address, you will be contacted
by telephone. ¨ Each person submitting artwork or a written theme idea, along with the
Release Form, will receive a vintage Firefighter of the Year t-shirt! ¨ $500 WILL BE AWARDED FOR EACH ORIGINAL ARTWORK ENTRY
SELECTED.
